A welding electrode is a component of an electronic or electrical device, which is used as the two ends of the input or export current in a conductive medium. One of the input currents is called anode or positive, and one of the discharge currents is called cathode or negative.
1. Transmit current to weldment area
2. Transfer pressure to the welding area
3. Adjust and control the heat balance in the heating process of resistance welding
4. Position and clamp the workpiece.
Tips: It should be pointed out that electrode quality will directly affect the welding process, production efficiency, and welding quality!
1. With high electrical and thermal conductivity, the electrode in the welding process is heating minimum.
2. Must have high hardness, especially at high temperatures should still maintain a high hardness, that is, with a high crystallization temperature.
3. Do not alloy with the weldment metal.
4. The electrode material should not be easily oxidized during welding.
1. First class of electrode materials: copper and copper alloys with high conductivity and medium hardness
2. Second-classes electrode material: a kind of electrode alloy with high conductivity and high hardness
3. Third-classes electrode materials: conductivity is lower than first or second materials, with higher mechanical properties, good wear resistance, high softening temperature, and low single conductivity.
1.High proportion tungsten-copper electrode: high melting temperature and wear resistance. It can be used as a welding electrode because of its high temperature and little loss. Tungsten-copper electrode is mainly used in welding copper, aluminum alloy or thin steel, and other difficult-to-solder materials.
2. Pure tungsten composite electrode: welding under high current and high pressure. Tungsten composite electrode not only improves the conductive performance of the electrode but also improves the tungsten pole in the welding impact and fragmentation. There are kinds like: tungsten embedded copper, copper-tungsten embedded copper composite electrode; Copper alloy composite electrode for equipment.
3.Aluminum oxide copper: as a resistance welding electrode, spot welding is not easy to stick. It is suitable for welding stainless steel, galvanized steel, nickel plate, mobile phone battery nickel belt, aluminum alloy, brass, etc. It is commonly used in resistance welding, argon arc welding nozzle, electronic lead frame, switch, relay, contact, and conductive materials.
