Resistance welding mainly produces resistance heat by pressurizing the substrate and using high current to pass through the contact surface of the plate. The temperature between the parts is higher than the melting point of the workpiece, forming a molten pool. This kind of operation needs to be carried out under high current and strong pressure. Especially when welding thick plate, the force between electrode and workpiece can reach 450 MPa. It is a great challenge for welding electrode to bear this force.
